Who should title their offshore banking accounts in a trust structure? It’s a big question. International Investment Advisors for Non US clients usually recommend trusts when the offshore estate is distinct and separate from their onshore estate or they have complex family structures. Financial Consultants and Wealth Advisors for US clients usually recommend trusts for Asset Protection purposes. Financial Advisors in the Trust Wealth Management world often confuse the two. Those in Wealth Management don’t care.
