It´s one more reminder that asset prices are cheap right now. Brazilian lender Banco Bradesco SA was upgraded to “buy” from “neutral” at Bank of America Corp., which cited the stock’s “attractive valuation.”
Bradesco will benefit from “a favorable macro scenario in Brazil” and “strong operating trends,” Bank of America analyst Jorg Friedemann wrote in a note to clients today.

We talk a lot about Brazilian Banks such as Itau and Bradesco. We also talk a lot about common sense. We listen to public impressions and taxi drivers too. The public impression of Bradesco is so positive. It is the kind of brand management that most banks would only dream of having done. They are just darn well positioned and we do not believe they will drop the ball.
Bradesco, Brazil’s third biggest bank, gained 1.6 percent to 29.38 reais after it was raised to “buy” from “neutral” at UBS, which said the country’s lenders should benefit from credit growth.
Bradesco’s share-price estimate was increased 26 percent to 39 reais, according to a UBS note to clients. Itau Unibanco Holding SA, the largest non-government bank, was rated a “top pick” among the biggest Brazilian lenders and had its share- price forecast boosted 22 percent to 45 reais. Itau gained 3.5 percent to 33.75 reais.

We are citing an excellent article in a Brazilian newspaper that discusses the new President of Bradesco, Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi and his thoughts about the banks future.
